Your Axolotl Arrival Checklist: Before the Grand Entrance

A royal arrival goes more smoothly when the practical details are ready first. Use this checklist before ordering, while waiting for a ship date, and when your delivery arrives.

Before placing your order

• Confirm the aquarium is ready: finish cycling, test the water, and make sure you can maintain suitable conditions consistently. Clear water alone does not show that cycling is complete.
• Review the setup: check filtration, temperature monitoring, safe hiding places, and the equipment your aquarium needs. See Care & Kindness.
• Plan the food: ask what your chosen animal is eating and have suitable food available.
• Check your location: confirm current ownership requirements and available delivery arrangements before buying.
• Check the listing: review the selected size, photos, description, and current availability.

While your shipment is being scheduled

We breed and ship our axolotls ourselves. Live-animal shipping is scheduled around animal readiness, safe weather, and carrier availability. An overnight service describes transit after dispatch; it does not mean the animal leaves the day you place an order.

Read the shipping policy for the current schedule, shipping options and rates, delivery responsibilities, and special destination arrangements. Keep an eye on order messages and tracking, and contact us promptly if your availability changes before dispatch.

Make a delivery-day plan

• Verify that the order has a complete, accurate address and usable contact details.
• Arrange to receive the package on the first delivery attempt.
• Monitor tracking and bring the package indoors immediately after delivery.
• Have your order number, a camera, and the arrival instructions ready.
• Make time to inspect the shipment promptly and follow the instructions supplied for your animal.

If something is wrong on arrival

Email info@axolotlkingdom.com within two hours of the carrier's documented delivery time. Include your order number, a description of the issue, and the required photographs.

Our policy requires clear photos of the unopened shipping box, shipping label, animal in its original shipping bag, and its condition after opening. A continuous unboxing video is strongly recommended. Plan the photos before opening so the required evidence is available if you need it.

After the grand entrance

Follow the arrival and acclimation instructions provided with your order, observe your animal, and maintain its aquarium routine. Keep order details and any care instructions together so you can refer to them easily.
