Black Melanoid Axolotl

Black Melanoid axolotls are a striking dark-colored morph known for their rich black, charcoal, and deep gray coloration. Unlike wild type axolotls, Black Melanoids lack the shiny iridophore pigmentation that creates metallic or reflective speckling, giving them a darker, more uniform appearance. Their coloration can range from smoky gray to nearly solid black, with natural variations in shade, markings, and gill appearance making each axolotl unique. Our Black Melanoid axolotls are carefully raised and selected for health, appearance, and quality. They thrive in cool, clean freshwater aquariums and are an excellent choice for both new and experienced axolotl keepers.
